Known problem from vibration of tank, sliding with denim, raw leather. Lined leathers and riding suits reduce the problem. Quick cure is silk underwear- long style available in many sporting goods stores- and the bycicle shops have thigh and calf length Lycra and silk.
References :
tell you whats going on, you're taking the tight curves too slow, when you lean the bike over on the tight curves and going too slow you have a feeling like your going to fall off, slide off the seat, so you tend to grip the side of the gas tank with your knees to help you hold on.
IF you take the curves faster the centrifugal force will kick in and hold you on the bike
I know its hard to do as a beginner, but try it
References :
the removal of hair along your thighs is a common occurance in sports motorcycle riding. and it is not from the pads that are attached on the side of the tank but from the clothing. hair gets weaved thru the cloth when you bank and lean to the sides. then without you noticeing when you come out of the turn and into the next turn or into the straight your hair gets pulled out from the roots. and since you will be kind of layed up for for a while you'll see short hairs returning after a week or two.
References :
been there done that cann't wait to get back into it!!!!!!!!!!

LOL

Thank you for clarifying that, I ride as a passenger in full leathers on my husbands Moto Guzzi V11 Sport, and can't say that I have noticed that - on him or me. ; - )
