Not to be practiced …
Not to be practiced on the road especially if your not looking further than your front wheel, your intentions are good mate and Im not knocking you but think about it before you make the video, simple things like safety gear, look where you want to go ect ect

despite the effort …
despite the effort and intention, for which you should be commended m you have absolutley no idea what you are doing.
People would be best to view this vid and then forget all about it just like many of the others in the series,

I use counter …
I use counter steering often when im on the throttle not letting off switching from one side to another, because the bikes centrifugal force of the wheels at high speeds wants to keep the bike upright so when im gunning it leaned to the left and i need to flick to the right i just pull the left lever..I find it easyer pulling than pushing when holding on pushing it.

Whats with this …
Whats with this counter balancing thing? I understand its principles, but most people when having to do tight turns just feather the clutch, look where you wanna go and use the back brake when needed. I can do a 70″ u turn lock to lock figure of 8′s without having to shift my weight to the outside of the bike. Maybe counter balancing could help with really heavy bikes, but everyone i know gets along with the look where you wanna go thing.

Expert? How about …
Expert? How about turning your head and looking where you want to go? Eish… and I agree with viperman5686, how about some over the ankle footwear?

As a MSF Instructor (RiderCoach) and Professional Test Rider, I hope those watching the videos take the MSF course and learn why it is VITAL TO LOOK WHERE YOU WANT TO GO.

You are better off not teaching anybody anything, than teaching someone the wrong way to do something and potentially causing injury.

I like how this guy is wearing tennis shoes. He’s going to regret that when his ankle bones get ground off by asphalt.

I personally like …
I personally like to watch videos like this and credit should be given to the people who take the time to make them and then post to YouTube. Overall this is a good video and it probably helped some people. What bothers me sometimes is that the old wives tales about leaning and countersteering continue to be propagated even if not by videos themselves, but by uniformed comments.

The speed at which …
The speed at which a bike starts to countersteer depends on the geometry of the bike front end and varies for different bikes. At very slow speeds to go left you actually turn left (direct steering,) but at higher speeds you need to countersteer. In other words to go left you push on the left handlebar which briefly steers to the right initiating a left turn.

Sometimes you’ll see a rider do a little zig-zag to start a turn which they call countersteering. In my opinion it is not.

You are an idiot. …
You are an idiot. The slower you go, the LESS countersteer you use. Matter of fact, I would be willing to bet you have no idea wtf you are talking about, and probably dont even have a bike. you. Under a certain speed, countersteer, doesnt even come into play. morons giving people bad info online.

you’d be surprised …
you’d be surprised at how many people I’ve seen have problems with this stuff. at the MSF course several people had a hard time doing this without putting their foot down. And I’ve seen people drop their bikes at low speeds because they couldn’t do this.

exactly!! he is …
exactly!! he is not counter steering, he’s going to slow to counter steer. look at his front wheel it is turning in the direction of the turn. Counter steering is putting pressure on the handle bars in the direction of the turn. to go right you push right. to go left you push left. but this only works at speeds of about 20mph and higher. if you are going slower, then you have to turn the wheel in the direction of the turn.

LOL! The slower you go, the MORE countersteer you need to keep the bike balanced so you can turn. You have obviously never even tried to ride a bike slow, or at all.

Control of a …
Control of a motorcycle going slow is a real skill. This may look easy but most heros can not do it.If you learn this you my not drop your motorcycle(when you get one) in a parking
lot like so may people do.(including myself)Watch the video again and notice how he moves his to the outside and pulls the bar in the direction of the turn.Countersteering at speed you move you to the inside and push the bar in the direction of the turn. Before you call someone a tool go to school!

A few? years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids’ room, the father said,”Take the kids and get out of the house. We’ll call the police, we don’t have a clown statue.” The “clown statue” is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don’t post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand;sorry i didnt want that happening to me
