I am considering getting a motorcycle, I am 15 and I want to know the pro’s and con’s of it.
Thanks
Megan
For any particular driver, you are less likely to be involved in a collision, less likely to be injured, and less likely to die on a motorcycle than in a car. The Statistics say otherwise, but fail to account for the fact, as evidenced above, that go-fast risk-taking idiots gravitate toward motorcycles. You are less likely to have a collision, more likely to get hurt in a collision.
The pro of a motorcycle is that you are out in the environment, far more aware of everything around you, more aware of risks and better able to avoid them.
The con of a motorcycle is that you are out in the environment, subjected to hot, cold, rain, sleet, hail, snow.
Other pro/con would include the inability to carry many friends — pro or con depending on if you like being an unpaid chauffeur; limited storage capacity; ability to park in small spaces; costs….

pro’s: they can be really fun when you get used to it, they can be more challenging which is fun if you like that, my favorite you can go way faster.
Con’s: there harder to Control, you wreck a lot more, they can cost more money to keep running.

Pro’s= Gets you heart going, enjoy every trip, alot of bike for your money compared to a car and what alot of people will say. Freedom on the road.
Con’s= Not safe to ride in certain weathers, car drivers dont look out enough for you, and risk of coming off and possibly dieing, but you could die today crossing the road, so providing you ride safe this will reduce the risk to a minimum.
Happy riding if you do decide to get on two wheels.

So glad I failed my car test (uk) and got a bike instead.
There are no cons. It’s all good. Good fun, good company, good stories. The cons only affect the non-rider, who just stands there, gazing wistfully into the distance.

The best thing is the feeling of power and acceleration, the feeling of being wired into the bike and taking on a sharp corner with speed and agility, feeling at one with both the bike and the road, on the edge and in total control.
The worst thing is cars and animals are out to get you.

Deal is you ride on a motorcycle not in it like a car.. You actually have to be aware when you ride or you wind up in the hostpital or the grave yard depending on what happens ..Now that we are past the cons a bike is a poor mans expensive exotic sports car… You can’t get this much fun at a cheaper price …I ride approx 15,000 miles a summer and yes i have to dodge the cell phone users =drunks= dopers= people not paying attention and those that just don’t care but in the end it is worth it in fun factor and remember on a bike if it rains you are in it just like the bike is ….

Dimo’s got it right. You are about 8% less likely, to get into a accident om a motorcycle, than in a car. But the severity of that accident will be greater. So with that.
Pros:
Money; cost of owning, maintaining and riding a motorcycle is much lower than a car.
Fun; It’s just down right fun to ride, plus events you can go to.
Not having to deal with passengers, I can take only one at a time.
Safety; On a motorcycle, you have to pay attention to what your doing.
Parking; You can fit in spots no car can get into, plus many places have motorcycle only parking up front.
Intangibles; Things like freedom, and being good for the soul. The feelings you get on a motorcycle.
Sexiness; A lot, of both men and women, think a motorcycle rider is hot, even the ugly ones.
Cons:
Weather; Unlike in a car, you have to dress for it.
Convenience; You sometimes, have to make an effort at riding. Even with big leather saddle bags, you can only carry so much. Once again, you have to dress properly. If you have kids, you can’t take them with you. You have to find, someone to watch them.
Safety; Cager’s, often just don’t see you. If you do get hit, it will be worse. Also, you can’t just fall over in a car.
