and whats that …
and whats that thing called, that covers ur legs and torso and hands, and is one piece? that was badly scratched. nothing happened to me tho. (couldn’t participate in that race tho, I crashed in free practice) my wrist was sore for a few weeks, but other then that, I was totally fine. I don’t wanna think aobut what would’ve happened, I would’ve been there without gear…

I know what u mean …
I know what u mean excactly. I’ve been thought right from the begginning to wear my gear. ofcourse, they don’t let on track without it:D anyway, once had a bad crash. exciting a corner, the rear wheel slipped and the got traction. I didn’t highside, but I was thrown over the front of the bike, and I slammed against the tarmac with my helmet, then I slid a little to the grass. my helmet had the the top layer of paint off just coz of the hit, and the gloves and and boots and everything was messed.

Think you got the …
Think you got the conversion a tad wrong there. Also with the helmet, not always top price=best quality. After a certain level, you pay for the features such as air flow and anti-fog not the protection levels, there are basic standards in USA and Europe that all helmets have to meet.

if riding gear is …
if riding gear is too expensive then you shouldn’t get a motorcycle.

when purchasing, you have to take the cost of gear into account BEFORE buying the bike. i bought all my gear before i even got a bike.

A lowside is …
A lowside is basically when you lay the bike down and it kinda throws you off to the side, whereas a highside is when your wheel slips for example and then regains traction, and you sort of fly off your bike on the high side (part furthest from the ground), if you’ve seen motogp racing, when the guy kinda gets “kicked’ and flies off the bike, that’s a high side, when he just lays the bike on the side, that’s a low side. ATGATT is the way to go man!

I dumped my bike …
I dumped my bike the day after I bought my helmet because somebody in a car cut me off. My helmet was fine (I didn’t hit my head) but it tore my gloves up. I always wear my gear, no matter how hot it is or how many people give me shit.

I do have a question though. I’ve been riding for about five months now and I’ve put a little over 1500 miles on my bike but I don’t know what it means to “highside” or “lowside”. I’ve seen these terms but I don’t fully understand. Could you please elaborate?
