I don’t have a clue what a full on tosser or a postie is, but if you care to reply in english I will be happy to read your reply.

Full on tossers …
Full on tossers like you lot shouldn’t be allowed to ride or own BMW’s. Why not stick to a postie bike until you earn a little respect.

Congrats….. Yes, …
Congrats….. Yes, people like you, that make a HUGE deal over 30 seconds of footage that we spent all of 10 minutes setting up one afternoon. I used video from 2 cameras to make a whopping 2 minute clip, including the time the bike was sitting still. Please tell me how to disable the prop. braking on an ’08 K1200, the guy’s on the LT forums didn’t know. It’s just a clip made for a friend to show his friends as a joke, thus the sarcastic tone of the video, music, etc., or did you not notice?

People like you? …
People like you? I’ll have you know that I’ve been riding for 30 years and have owned 2 busa’s and several other bikes including an ’06 R1200GS with prop-braking. Disable the prop. breaking and find someone tall enough to keep their porky off the seat while popping the clutch and you’ll burn the tires to the rim. The LT has 100hp at the wheel – it will burn tires. It’s child’s play.

You are correct. …
You are correct. It’s not a touring video at all. Very astute observation.

If 2 burnouts and 2 …
If 2 burnouts and 2 attempts destroy the final drive the bike isn’t worth $.25, much less $25k.

Obviously you …
Obviously you failed to READ the comments below yours. People like you were the reason for making the video. That, and entertaining the K1200LT forum, I just needed somewhere to host it. The owners last bike was a busa. He’s been riding/racing for 20+ years, no practice needed. These bikes will not do burnouts, even in water…. due to the proportional braking system they have, practice isn’t going to overcome that, it will just fry the clutch. Yes alternative….water doesn’t work….

Alternative methods …
Alternative methods? Ya, it’s called practice. A seasoned rider could burn wet tires on a scooter. Besides, what is the point of all this? The beemer does what it’s designed to do – go on long tours quick and comfy and look good doing it. If you want to impress the press buy a busa or v-max!

I was about to say this & read your text.
A burn out can’t be done because of the proportional break system, ie front & back wwork together.
Must add though that its such a contribution to the super stopping qualities of the brakes on this bike :-)

Thanks. It’s my friends bike. He was told it wouldn’t do a burnout due to the braking system. We just had to find out :) .
